Attorney Chris Walsh recently assisted a client in Placer County charged with Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence while Intoxicated. The client, an elderly man, was charged in a way where he would have faced 14 years in prison; the equivalent of a life sentence.
Attorney Walsh took the case to trial and the jury returned two verdicts of Not Guilty on all the charges involving alcohol allegations. The jury hung on a lesser remaining count involving negligence causing a car accident. This result enabled the case to be resolved in a way that allowed the client to move on with his life.
