Calvin attended UC Santa Barbara where he studied Philosophy with an emphasis in public policy and graduated with honors. He then went to Santa Clara Law, where he focused on criminal law and worked as a bar-certified law clerk at the Nevada County District Attorney’s Office. While there, he researched for attorney Chris Walsh and prepared for and argued motions in court.
Later in his law school journey, he was a bar-certified law clerk at the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office, where he researched various criminal legal issues and argued motions in court. Later, he was a post-bar law clerk at the Nevada County District Attorney’s Office.
After passing the bar, Calvin worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Nevada County and gained jury experience.
All of this experience prepared Calvin for his role as a defense attorney because he learned exactly how a strong prosecution case is built. This equipped him with a unique perspective on how to show weaknesses in the prosecution’s case. He knows what to look for to achieve the best results for clients. He has built cases as a prosecutor, can identify the weaknesses, and use them to our client’s advantage.
In his free time, Calvin loves to play basketball — he feels it’s a great way to practice teamwork and hone his competitive spirit.
